From Goodreads
Ash, former prince of the Winter Court, gave up everything. His title, his home, even his vow of loyalty. All for a girl… and all for nothing. Unless he can earn a soul. To cold, emotionless faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought. Then Meghan Chase—a half human, half fey slip of a girl— smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive. With the (unwelcome) company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side. To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale. And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice
My Thoughts

Oh my goodness, this book was heart wrenching. I had no idea how this was going to go and there was so many "break my heart moments" I was seriously scared. I even threatened my friend that read this if it ended in a way I could not handle I was going to punish her. And if you were like me that you kept saying after the ending of Iron Queen you just knew Ash would find a way and we where going to get our happily ever after no matter what, well be prepared for some twists and turns and a bunch of heart breaking!!

I am so so sad to see this series go. Julie has a way of writing that I don't think is usual because she brings something out that not many people can. When I read these books I always feel the magic. Its really hard to describe, but this series offers something not many others can.

I am so not giving anything away in this review, so be prepared for that. This book was amazing though. I loved loved seeing so much time with Ash and Puck and there were moments that I really thought Ash was going to do it and keep his promise. And my goodness the things Julie threw at us, NO ONE would ever see coming.. Ash had to go through so much and there was a time when I even thought "is it worth it"? I honestly wasn't sure.

If you have come this far, just know this is one amazing book and you are going to want to read it as soon as possible.

Teaser Quote:

Did you think this would have a happily ever after? Between a mortal and a fey? How did you think this was going to end?
