From Goodreads
Shapeshifters from across the country are convening in the Windy City, and as a gesture of peace, Master Vampire Ethan Sullivan has offered their leader a very special bodyguard: Merit, Chicago's newest vampire. Merit is supposed to protect the Alpha, Gabriel Keene-and to spy for the vamps while she's at it. Oh, and luckily Ethan's offering some steamy, one-on-one combat training sessions to help her prepare for the mission.

Unfortunately, someone is gunning for Gabriel, and Merit soon finds herself in the line of fire. She'll need all the help she can get to track down the would-be assassin, but everywhere she turns, there are rising tensions between supernaturals-not least between her and a certain green-eyed, centuries-old master vampire.

 My Thoughts

Oh my goodness I love love this series!! I finally got what I wanted and then the jerk had to take it away. I was so ready to kick his ass. But I have high hopes this will be corrected.

If you love a good kicking ass series, two characters who are so perfect together but are having problems getting it together then please read this. Ethan and Merit, are just fun. They have this connection and are always pressing each others buttons. When they get together even just to fight I am so glued to the book.

And guess what, I was about 85% done with this book and my freaking dog ate my book!! Can you believe that? I almost died, I went out and bought it but still the wait was crazy and considering the ending, I was really missing out.

I loved getting so more involved with the shifters in this book. Even though they seem to be a lot of trouble its still neat.

Anyways its  a great series!! I am going to start the 4th book right away!
