Today's AwesomeSauce Reader being Interviewed is
Kristen from

 About Kristen:
My name is Kristen, and one of my passions in life, is reading. Every day I always have to pick up a book, and read it any time I can...even if I have other priorities to take care of. So, I wanted to make a book blog, where I can have a place to show books I have read and give my opinions to other readers on that book.
I love reading Young Adult books, but sometimes you'll find me reading Adult books also. I am usually open to any book genre, and I would love to hear from other book bloggers with recommendations for books!

Lets get to know more about
The Reader Behind the Blogger

Where do you get your books from, buy them (where from), library, or somewhere else?
I usually only like to buy books that have great reviews from bloggers, so I know they will be good. If I buy a book that I didn’t really like, I feel like I’ve wasted money and could have bought a different book. Sometimes I get my books from the library, but it always happens that the books I get from the library turn out to be so good, that I want to buy them. When I buy books, it is usually at either Borders or Barnes and Noble.
Hold Still

What is the last book you read that you totally fell in love with?
It is a tie between the two books that I’ve read last. Both of these books didn’t get as much hype as they deserved, and they were amazing. They were Hold Still by Nina LaCour and Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. I would recommend these books to everyone, because I really enjoyed them. And, of course, I got these books from the library, but now I want to buy them!

If you could meet an author alive or dead who would it be and what would you say?
I would love to meet Lauren Oliver, author of Before I Fall and Delirium. I loved Before I Fall and desperately want to read Delirium. I probably wouldn’t be able to say anything, I’d be so excited. I’d have her autograph her books for me, and then I might be able to tell her how much I love her books. It would probably be embarrassing, but at least I got the autographs!

If you could go on a girls night out with any 5 book characters who would you pick and why?
Wow, this is a great question! I would probably pick:

  • Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series, because I loved her character in the series! Plus, I would get to learn some magic.
  • Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games series, because it would be cool to hang out with her and hear stories about what happened in the Hunger Games.
  • Alexandrine Paradis from Revolution, because doesn’t everyone want to meet someone who lived in the eighteenth century?
  • Lena Duchannes from the Beautiful Creatures series, because like with Hermione I would learn some magic spells!
  • Bella Swan from the Twilight series, because mainly I want to meet Edward and Jacob!

A book world you would love to live in?
I’d love to live in the world in Harry Potter, because then I would get to go to Hogwarts, and learn there. That would be amazing, and then I’d get to play Quidditch, and do all the other fun things that you can do at Hogwarts.

You have no books at all to read and you really want to read, what book are you going to grab from your stash and do a reread?
She's So Dead to Us (He's So/She's So Trilogy)I’ve been wanting to do a reread of the book, She’s So Dead To Us by Kieran Scott, because I really liked that one, and have wanted to reread it for a very long time!

Is there a book you think is amazing, yet not a lot of other people do or its just not very popular? (if so tell us about it)
Like I said before, I really enjoyed Revolution by Jessica Donnelly, yet not many people have read it. I wasn’t a big fan of historical fiction novels before this book, but after I read it I am willing to read more, it was just that good! Everyone should definitely check it out!
A book that made you cry?
Fall for AnythingThat’s also a tie between Fall for Anything by Courtney Summers and Hold Still by Nina LaCour. They both revolve around the same topic of suicide, and they made me very emotional. I’m sure there were a few others, but these were the first two that popped into my head.
What book are you currently reading?
ParanormalcyI’m currently reading Paranormalcy by Kiersten White, and it is really good! I haven’t gotten that far yet, but I like it a lot so far.
If you could trade places for the day with any book character who would you pick?
Oh, this is a tough one. I guess I would like to switch places with Katniss from The Hunger Games but after the Hunger Games, because then I would get to live with Peeta!

Thanks so much Kristen for your fun and thoughtful answers!!! I really enjoyed them. Can't wait to get to know you more through the blog world!! If you haven't go check her out @

  1. Thanks again. I think most people pick to live in Harry Potter world, which I don't blame them. I want to too!

Have you finished Paranormalcy, I loved that book.

And I am a Gale girl. I was kinda mad she picked Peeta. I always love the guy the girl never picks. Its my curse.

  2. Thank you for having me on your blog! It looks great!
