Today's Reader Behind the Author is

My Photo
Tamara Rose Blodgett, is a "thinking-out-of-the box" paranormal enthusiast who believes there's a 95% chance zombies do not exist; but loves to write as if they do... She's from Alaska and has worked as an online journalist in the past. Her debut novel, "Death Whispers," is available now with book two, "Death Speaks," publishing in August of 2011. Tamara's YA paranormal romance series (book one), "The Pearl Savage," will publish in June. In her spare time she's a [reluctant] serial-re-modeler, project-slave and big-time, in-her-pants reader (surprise!). Tamara does a great deal of day-dreaming about impossible scenarios and events, writing books to capture them in stories for you~ Side note: Gnomes should be exterminated.

PortalWhat is the last book you've read?

Portal by Imogen Rose

If you could go out shopping with a character from any book who would you pick?

Sookie Stackhouse of the "True Blood" ilk. She'd be a down-to-earth gal that would be fun to have a lunch with, like a cherry on top of the shopping "cake."

If you could meet an author alive or dead who would you pick and why?

Stephen King. I think he'd be interesting (and funny), just the wealth of wisdom he could bestow...and all the different "why" questions I could finally get answers to! Wow!

You have to fight in an epic battle to save the world what Literary Characters would you want on your side?

I want the crew of characters from my book. They're teens but the defend the weak, capitalize on spontaneous, out-of-the-box thinking and don't hesitate; especially Caleb, he'd have my complete support!

If you could save someone from dying in a book who would you pick?

Animals should never die, it should be a law somewhere. And no, I don't care if it's make-believe!

What is one of the first books you remember falling in love with?
The Chronicles of Narnia
The Chronicles of Narnia. I thought Aslan was magical and spilled his love over everything like golden lava. I adored that series...I was nine[when I read it] and it gave me a sense of hope that I still carry with me to this day. I know, I know, it's *just* a book, but words are powerful.

Your best friend asked you to recommend them a book, what would you pick?

A Dog's Purpose. Simply beautiful and poignant.

Favorite Book Couple?

Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 3)Zsadist and Bella from Lover Awakened by J.R.Ward. Lots-o'-conflict and [then] resolution for someone who believed he was too fractured to love normally; perfect.

If you could have any supernatural like powers what one would you pick?

Easy... Healing.

Your bookshelf is on fire what books are you grabbing first?

My author-signed copies my great friend, Kerri...spent hours in line and other fanatical methods to acquire for me!

Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter)You need a girls night out, what literary characters are you sure to have a FUN time with?

Anita Blake (she can kick everyone's butt when they get out-of-line), Sookie Stackhouse, (she'll be gracious to a toad),  Stephanie Plum (who will keep the comedy wheel rolling)...
