From Goodreads

The story of a young heiress's initiation into the dark society of the Chicagoland Vampires continues...

Ten months after vampires revealed their existence to the mortals of Chicago, they're enjoying a celebrity status usually reserved for the Hollywood elite. But should people learn about the Raves-mass feeding parties where vampires round up humans like cattle-the citizens will start sharpening their stakes.

So now it's up to the new vampire Merit to reconnect with her upper class family and act as liaison between humans and bloodsuckers, and keep the more unsavory aspects of the vampire lifestyle out of the media. But someone doesn't want peace between them-someone with an ancient grudge...

My Thoughts
I loved this book. And while I am still hoping Ethan and Merit's relationship will grow into the romantic kind, the sexual tension and the moments Ethan shows his charm will be worth it. But if they never get together I will be one unhappy reader. Just putting that out there.

I am totally addicted. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and you'll totally get sucked in this world. I love all the characters.

I think I am going to have to read book 3 now, and then go out and get the other books. I am now attached to this series. I knew the first one was building up to be an awesome series and after reading this book, I know I was right!!

  1. So glad you enjoyed this one, Heather. I'd be disappointed (not to mention ticked off) if the leading characters I loved didn't get together, too. Keep your fingers crossed! :)
