Dark Magick (The Gatekeepers Series) By Stacey Thompson-Geer and Stevie Trinity

About the Book:

The world has changed, we have changed. The world we once knew has fallen away and left us in a wasteland of Magick. Powerful witches and underworld gods control our lives. The past comes back in ways we are not prepared for. The Gatekeepers are our only hope. The question is if we can get to them first.

Amber R's Thoughts:

I absolutely loved this book. I didn't stop reading until I was finished. From the first 20 pages, I was sucked in. I loved having the two different perspectives of Rhea and Lynn. They are sucked into this war that they know nothing about and try to overcome their new lives. They also protect everyone else that they can, they fight and defeat evil beings who are trying to bring them down. Both of these woman are amazing. I admire their strength, abilities, and their friendship.

We get to read the story from both Rhea and Lynn's perspective, which I really like that. They are both leaders of this little group they're trying to protect. They both have amazing abilities with magic that they use to protect their family and friends. Rhea is a really powerfully witch and so is Lynn but Lynn is more of a warrior. Lynn is out on the front lines fighting the monsters. Rhea stays in their habitat to make the area invisible so no one knows that they're there and to protect their children. The story really wraps you up in their world. I empathized so much for these two women who had to become these warriors in this war that neither one of them wanted. Not to mention, their children are there with them. Their daughters Allora and Hanna, are amazing girls who end up having a huge roll in this whole story.

Basically this is an amazing story. I can't wait to read more from this series and will be on the lookout. I think that everyone should read this book. It was refreshing to read a different kind of paranormal book. I really loved it.
