AwesomeSauce Reader Interview-Sara

Saturday, July 2, 2011

I'm super excited to have Sara with us today. She's an avid reader and a stay at home mom. She has five boys and is getting ready to have her sixth, so she is a busy lady. Sara is a super fun lady with a love for all things historical. If you'd like you can check her out here on facebook!

Lets get to know more about the person who reads the books!!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)If you had to choose a book world to live in what one would you pick?

Thats easy, Harry Potter, who wouldn't want to be a witch or wizard?

What is the best book you have read this year?

Diana Gabaldon An Echo in the Bone, fantastic continuation of the Outlander series. The world is so rich you feel like you're there. And who doesn't love some time traveling romance?

If you could save 1 person from dying in a book who would you pick?

Dobby from Harry Potter, that damn house elves demise makes me cry like a baby every time.

If you were trapped on a deserted island what 5 books would you take with you?

Dune by Frank Herbert, Living Loving Learning by Leo Buscaglia, The Complete Tudors by Jean Plaidy, Twilight: Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer and The Island by Gary Paulsen.

What are you currently Reading?
Fallen Series by Lauren Kate, so far not impressed, the story is fun but lacks richness.

You just won an amazon Gift Card for 1 book and it had to be used within the next 5 min. what book would you buy?
Ben Franklin by Walter Issacs, I lost mine and Ben was one rad dude!

Who is your favorite book couple?
Aayla and Jondalar from The Clan of the Cave Bear series by Jean Auel.

The Clan of the Cave Bear (Earth's Children, Book One)

What was the first book you fell in love with?

I was in 7th grade and I read Hatchet by Gary Paulsen and it was such an inspiring story of survival. It is still one of my favorites today.

If you had to choose a paranormal being to be what would you be? (like a vamp, were, fae, witch, demon etc anything like that)

I would love to be a deamon ala A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Heck I think I might be one already, artistic, crazy, weird lol.

You have 2 minutes to grab books off the shelf at a bookstore which section are you running to first?

History, I can't get enough of history books. You can't know where you're going unless you know where you've been.

Thank you so much Sara!

  1. Awesome interview Apples! Sara, I agree about Fallen, it has potential, but it was lacking something the entire time I read the first book. Loved your answers. :)

  2. I totally agree. I was not impressed with Fallen. It had so much potential but it lacked. Which made me sad because the cover was so pretty. lol. I never even picked up the other books.
