Why are these books getting special recognition?

This week we're doing the whole dang series. Why? They are amazinnnggg. I was forced to read these books over a 3 day period and unnnffff, I almost have no words. Luckily, I have a few, just for you guys. Hahaha.

These books are everything that you could want out of a series and more. Merit is the main character in this series. She's an english lit grad student that suddenly and violently gets turned into a vampire, almost immediately after the vamps "came out of the closet" so to speak. Not surprisingly, she wasn't too happy at first that she was turned into a vampire. There are a whole new set of rules to follow, not to mention her life gets turned completely upside down. Her best friend Mallory is there for her and the vamp that turned her, Ethan.

The way that these books are put together is different because the vampires are out in the public, people know about them. Merit has a not so great relationship with her family. There are some surprising finds in this book. A sorceress who doesn't know she's a sorceress, a grandfather hiding secrets from a beloved granddaughter, political gain and fall, an interesting way that the vampires live together, some truly hilarious moments and characters, the bad guys, and of course, some steamy hot sexual tension.

I love these books so much. I cried and sobbed like an infant in the last one. So emotional, so heartbreaking, so lovely. This series is one that you don't want to pass up ladies and gents. Please, read them. Trust us, they are worth the time and money. Then we can have one huge gush session over all of them.

Be on the lookout for the next in series, coming out in November.
