From Goodreads

On top of spending most of her time in a bunkerlike safe house and having her dates hijacked by a formidable Fae bodyguard, Faeriewalker Dana Hathaway is in for some more bad news: the Erlking and his pack of murderous minions known as the Wild Hunt have descended upon Avalon. With his homicidal appetite and immortal powers, the Erlking has long been the nightmare of the Fae realm. A fragile treaty with the Faerie Queen, sealed with a mysterious spell, is the one thing that keeps him from hunting unchecked in Avalon, the only place on Earth where humans and Fae live together. Which means Dana’s in trouble, since it’s common knowledge that the Faerie Queen wants her – and her rare Faeriewalker powers – dead. The smoldering, sexy Erlking’s got his sights set on Dana, but does he only seek to kill her, or does he have something much darker in mind?

My Thoughts

I loved it. I really really enjoyed the way this book took off. We get so much in one book.
Dana has so much to deal with her mom not drinking, her dads over protectiveness, her fairy boyfriend getting kidnapped, a sexy erkling who seems to want something from her and not to mention the long line of people wanting her dead.  There is so much happening that you find yourself not being able to put it down.

We all know the Erkling is the bad guy but just like Dana I find myself very intrigued with him. Also we all know Ethan is a bit of a player but just like Dana I would put my guards down. I find her character very easy to relate too as she does a lot of things I would see myself doing in the situation.

I love the world Jenna as created for us. And these books are just so much more then I ever expected!!  I am thinking its one of my favorite YA fairy books out there. I love reading both adult and YA books, but I am sometimes sad when YA books gloss over our "romantic" scenes and this one sure doesn't. Call me crazy but I love that!! I like getting all the details.lol.

If you haven't read Glimmerglass, then I suggest you get on it!!

  1. Yay! I'm glad you liked this series! I've been eyeing it since I first started blogging but didn't have the chance to get it. :D I'm looking forward to reading it now. Even though I don't like fairies. I'm looking around for a book that'll change my mind about it. Thanks a bunch for the review! <3

  2. Hmm, I haven't read the second one. It just didn't appeal to me. Nor have I read any reviews. But, your review makes me want to dig it out and read it right now! Except I don't remember who the boys were. I remember the ending, but not the names so hopefully she does a little recap. Good, no Great Review if you make me want to read a book that's been sitting here since it was released!

Oh and this will be one of the books we are giving away in July. You can pick one of the 3 in the series. (3rd one coming out in July.)
