Evelyn Lafont- Blogger Interview.

Saturday, June 18, 2011

Today's Blogger Interview is with the most awesomesauce author I know! She saw my distress symbol and answered me!! I am super excited and so thankful to have Evelyn Lafont join us today!

Succubus Revealed (Georgina Kincaid, Book 6)1. What book are you most looking forward to this year?
The last of the Succubus Diaries books by Richelle Mead. Of course, if I’m being honest, I have to admit that I’m both looking forward to and dreading it, since it’s the last time we’ll get a new story about these characters.
( I feel the same way. I am still hoping Roman will get the girl.lol. I can't help it.I am just not feeling the cover. )

2. You are allowed to jump into a book and change an event what book would you pick and what event would you change?
You know when Mac kisses Barrons in the second book of the Fever series? Wait—put the sharp objects away! I wouldn’t change that scene, I’d change what happens after and make them a difficult but loving couple for the remainder of the series.
(This is one series I have not yet read. I started the first book and stopped. I am going to try again.)

3. Your bookshelf is on fire and you can only save what you can carry what books would that be?

Luckily, I don’t keep my Kindle on my bookshelves, so I only need to save the Anne of Green Gables books I’ve had since I was a child, my Harry Potters and my signed copy of A Christmas Carol (signed by Dickens’ great, great, great (possibly more greats, I’m not sure) grandson whom I saw perform the story live).

4. Love triangle that drove you crazy?
In Marta Acosta’s Casa Dracula series, the triangle between Milagros, Ian and Oswald. Grrr. Oswald doesn’t love you for who you are Milagros!! Kick him to the curb!!

5. What was the first book you fell in love with?
I’ve been reading since I was knee high to a grasshopper so I don’t even remember the name of the book. It was about a girl who is…on a bus I think and some harpies come and take her away to a fantasy land…my memory is so full of holes this is like grasping at a cloud. I really wish I could remember more because I would love to buy the book and reread it. All I can tell you is that I found it enchanting and read it over and over. While it wasn’t the first book I ever read, it was the first one to capture my heart and my imagination fully.

6. Who is your favorite book couple?
Milagros and Ian.

7. If you had to choose a book world to live in what one would you pick?
Oh, I like this world, so I think I’d choose a non-fiction book for that one.
8. If a person who didn't like to read asked you to pick a book to get them hooked on reading what book would you pick?
First of all, I’d be sweating bullets because I would really hate to mess that up. Um, there are so many different genres and tastes out there…I think I would have to ask what their favorite movie was first, and then pick a book. I read a wide variety of genres so I’d probably be able to find something.

9. If you had to choose a paranormal being to be what would you be? (like a vamp, were, fae, witch, demon etc anything like that)
Shifter. You get variety and you can eat whatever you want and never gain weight. Score one for the shifters.

10. If you were trapped on a deserted island what 5 books would you take with you?
Tess of the D'Urbervilles (Penguin Classics)Yeah, I guess my Kindle’s battery would run down on an island. I would take Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the last book in the Casa Dracula series, a David Bowie biography, and The Stand.

VampLure is a fictional magazine that was spawned during world building for The Vampire Relationship Guide series (available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords).

VampLure was designed as a trashy women’s magazine specifically for those ladies who want to have relationships with vampires. VampLure is not an empowering sexual advice rag. It is modeled after the women's magazines of the 40′s and 50′s. Remember, it's satire--not real life.
