Desires of the Dead (Body Finder)Desires of the Dead (The Body Finder #2)

From Goodreads
The missing dead call to Violet. They want to be found.
Violet can sense the echoes of those who've been murdered—and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Only those closest to her know what she is capable of, but when she discovers the body of a young boy she also draws the attention of the FBI, threatening her entire way of life.
As Violet works to keep her morbid ability a secret, she unwittingly becomes the object of a dangerous obsession. Normally she'd turn to her best friend, Jay, except now that they are officially a couple, the rules of their relationship seem to have changed. And with Jay spending more and more time with his new friend Mike, Violet is left with too much time on her hands as she wonders where things went wrong. But when she fills the void by digging into Mike's tragic family history, she stumbles upon a dark truth that could put everyone in danger.

My Thoughts

I really liked this book. I love how these books have that mystery to them. Just something about the world she has created totally draws you in.

I wasn't all that interested in the "bad persons POV" for me it just felt like a slightly disturbed too obvious high school girl. I really liked in The Body finder when we read the bad guys part how freaking mysterious it was and how much you needed to know who it was. Not that this one wasn't good just not really as mysterious or creepy to me.

Still Jay totally rocks! And I love how he is with Violet and she has him to lean on. (she should remember that

I was kinda hoping we would get closure on the first case in the story. That was really sad.

It was still one of those books once you got into you had to keep going. It was a little creepy and romantic and funny at times.

Great Book!!!

  1. Great review! I was disappointed that is was not as mysterious and creepy as the Body Finder, but regardless I am looking forward to book three.
    Truly Bookish

  2. Awesome review! I liked this one as well. The bad person's pov became obvious to me too soon and it was kind of a drag because in the first one I didn't know right away and was trying to "solve the mystery"!

But still can't wait to the next book either!
