Tuesday, March 1, 2011
Jenny over at New Books for New Bloggers has a new feature, the weekly prompt. Last week’s weekly prompt was: Top 10 Most Unique Paranormal/Fantasy Books. And by unique, she means they have characters that are not often written about (as in NOT vampires, werewolves, faeries, and fallen angels.)
.

I first seen this on my friends Truly Bookish Blog! Thanks, it sounds FUN!

1.  Paranormalcy by Kiersten White (LEN AND EVIE)
2. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare    (Shadowhunters)
3. Firelight by Sophie Jordan (DRAKI'S)
4.  Nightshade by Andrea Cremer (THE KEEPERS)
5. Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead (Georgina a Succubus)
6. Darkest Power trilogy by Kelley Armstrong (NECROMANCER)
7. Need By Carrie Jones (PIXIES)

  3. Have you read Kelley Armstrongs adult series. It had like 12 books and each one is usually a different person but it does have some books with necromancers.

  4. Love your list, wish I had thought to add the unique characters per book to my post! Question, would you consider Cassandra Clare's books angel books? Cause I usually avoid those. I am also curious about the Darkest Power trilogy.

  5. About Cassandras books, I would not consider them that at all. They have talk about them but they do not play a main part in the book at all. They are awesome!! Really Awesome!

And the Darkest Power books are really really good too. I love them. They have a few different supernaturals in it.

I would highly recommend both these series.
