When Wendy Everly was six-years-old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. It isn't until eleven years later that Wendy finds out her mother might've been telling the truth. With the help of Finn Holmes, Wendy finds herself in a world she never knew existed - and it's one she's not sure if she wants to be a part of.
I loved this book. I really couldn't put it down. After every chapter when I told myself I would put it down for the night I just couldn't.
When I first seen it was about trolls aka Trylles I was like ooh no this is so not going to be a book for me. But my friend bought it for me and insisted it was awesome. And wow she was right. It was such an engaging story.
From the beginning I was hooked when we seen Wendy's Mom stab her only at age 6. Then we start to learn she may be different after all. When she is tracked down and convinced to leave the brother and aunt that care for her we think she will have a nice magical life. But that is far from the case. Even though back at home she was always an outcast and picked on, in her new home it seems a lot worse. Her real mother is a Queen and expects Wendy to uphold her duties. She isn't treated nicely and is always watched.
ITs just such an engaging story. You get to see a new world. And some new supernaturals!! That is always fun. The relationships are great. All of them are.
I totally recommend it!!
