FROM GOODREADS
After fighting for centuries to be together, Ever and Damen’s future hinges on one final showdown that will leave readers gasping for breath. Don’t miss this explosive new installment of the #1 bestselling series that’s enchanted millions across the world!

Haven still blames Ever for the death of her boyfriend Roman, no matter how hard Ever’s tried to convince her it was an accident. Now she’s determined to take Ever down…and destroy Damen and Jude along the way. Her first step is to tear Ever and Damen apart—and she has just the ammunition to do it.

Hidden in one of Ever’s past lives is a terrible secret about Damen—a secret that illuminates new facts about her relationship with Jude, but that’s so dark and brutal it might be enough to drive her and Damen apart once and for all. As Ever faces her greatest fears about the guy she wants to spend eternity with, she’s thrust into a deadly clash with Haven that could destroy them all.

Now it’ll take everything she’s got—and bring out powers she never knew she had—to face down her most formidable enemy. But in order to win, she must first ask herself: is her own survival worth dooming Haven to an eternity of darkness in the Shadowland? And will learning the truth about Damen’s past hold the key to their future?

 Thoughts

This book was pretty much the icing on a crap cupcake! Firstly I personally hate the character Haven. I never liked her from the very beginning. She is annoying and Ever is weak and stupid for ever staying friends with her and Miles. I am wondering if Alyson Noel has ever had a real friend, because the friendships in this series are probably the worst ever written in a series. Haven and Miles are annoying, self serving, whiny, selfish, stupid, nasty, un-feeling, a-holes I have EVER experienced in a book. I don't understand how Haven made it far enough to be a substantial character in these novels-- but please for all that is holy kill her and Miles off. The only real emotional relationships Ever has with people as friends in this book are never truly admitted-- and fumbled to the point of ridiculousness. Miles quick thinking, holier than thou attitude is run into the ground so much I want to puke.

Alyson Noel makes you think 2 books back that Ever might get off the stupid train-- but no. She is STILL making bad choices, hiding things, and bitching about not being able to touch Damen. Yes.. still not being able to touch him. This should have been squared in book 3. Noel is dragging out a dead storyline. This series had great potential but it's dead in the water to me right now. It's in need of a revival.

  1. Yep, I heard the characters were nasty. This series keeps on going lower and lower on my TBR pile. But I'll read it anyways.

  2. Im sorry to see that you didnt enjoy this book. but to be honest THANK GOD U DIDNT ENJOY IT. After reading evermore I was literally left not wanting to read again for the fear that most books would be written in similar manner. (I am not joking. Thank god I was wrong! Evermore was interesting in the begining but more frustrating as the book kept going and not in a good way. After reading evermore I knew I would not want to continue reading this series.
I really haven't understood why other people have enjoyed the book. All i keep hearing are big let downs from the continuing books. (Such a shame cuz the covers are awesome).

But the reason why I am happy you didn't enjoy this book is because now I know I m not the only one that was not too happy with the series. Even though you read way past me, it's a nice feeling to know that I wasnt the only one who feels cheated and kind of fooled. I don't the author does it intentionally, but I figured out through book she's the type that likes to frustrate her readers to create interest for the book.

And one might think oh im getting frustrated so that means im interested right?? WRONG!! it's because you feel like you have invested all this time you might as well finish it. and then you say to yourself the next book will be better, the plot and characters will be better WRONG!!! Just because an athor knows how to frustrate you doesn't mean a book is good! I think as readers we deserved better characters, plot, writing and many other things.

Sorry if my comment was too long. i look forward to reading your opinion on what I wrote. Ill be checking back to see if im the only crazy person that fet this way lol

  3. Hey Melissa my friend Autum who created my blog design wrote this review. She also wrote the Last Sacrifice review. I have read the first 2 in the series and I am like you I just could not continue them. I thought the first one was okay then I read the 2nd one and nothing progressed at all. The characters all stayed the same and had the same problems and it was just awful. So I stopped reading them. then I kept seeing others say oh they are so good so I thought maybe I was harsh so I gave it another go with the 3rd after 50 pages, I was like screw I can't do it. It was the same thing all over again. So I totally understand. ANd I am glad I am not the only one who have up on a series. It is very rare of me to do.

And I loved reading your long comment.lol. Because like I said I am glad I am not the only one.
