She's hunting a killer—
and shattering every boundary—
she's ever known.…

Part vamp, part werewolf, Riley Jenson plays by her own rules, whether it’s her stormy love life or her job as a guardian. But when her family’s alpha male demands that she solve the mystery of a vanished girl, Riley can feel a trap closing in around her. Because the job comes with a catch: if Riley fails, her own mother will die.

Now the stakes are raised, the hunt is on...and when more women vanish, Riley is caught between a lover who demands that she give up her work, a serial killer who knows no boundaries, and a club where humans and supernaturals mix—at their own peril. Thrust into a realm of seduction and violence unlike any she could have imagined, Riley has to battle to save everything she holds dear. But the ultimate hunt has only just begun..

My Thoughts

I love this series. Riley is such a kick ass heroine. She is often under estimated and well the ones who do underestimate her are usually shown their place really fast. Her being a cross breed of a vampire and wolf she is more then capable of taking care of herself. Unfortunately her new Alpha Boyfriend isn't liking his women in so much danger and not being able to protect her.

Riley finally is ready to settle a little, but will it work? The men in her life are often trying to change the girl she is. Quinn couldn't handle her free thinking about sex and now it seems Kellen doesn't like her working at such a dangerous place. And this makes me feel so bad for her. No one seems to just accept her as the girl she is. Everyone wants to change her.

This is a great series. I am on book 5 and they have all been great. Riley is not a damsel in distress, she is always in the heat of all the action. She has that sarcastic sense of humor I love. And the men in her life are always pretty HOT! You know when you read these books you will get lots of action and some good ol' steamy romance!!

  3. Good review! I've read this series and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The books just keep going and so much happens, it's amazing! Can't wait for Keri's spinoff series later this year!

  4. I have read book one, and I loved Riley so much but I wasn't totally sure about the series as a whole and I have been worried to continue for fear I would grow this bean about it like I did Anita Blake. But it seems like Riley stays awesome from this review! Thank you! I will be continuing this series this year!
