Todays Blogger being Interviewed is Michelle @ Oh! For the LOVE of BOOKS!
1. Why do you Blog?
I blog because it's a great network of people who share my love of YA and writing. I have contact with people from all over, of all ages, and everyone has something worthwhile to say. And I will continue to blog because it's now one of highlights each day. I love posting. I love coming home to see what everyone is reading. And I think "Teaser Tuesday" is going to break my bank!
2.What do you look for in a review?
I look for enthusiasm. When you follow a blog for awhile you can really tell when a blogger loves a book. Yeah, they may rate it, but you can tell by their word choice how much they really enjoyed it and that tells me a lot. When I pick up on it, thats when I put the book on my list.
3. If you had to promote your blog in a tweet (140 characters or less)what would you say?
It's a blog about books and writing. It's a blog that wants to meet people and learn from them. - Not sure if this is 140 :)
4. If you could live in one of your favorite "book worlds" what one you pick?
OH SUCH A TOUGH QUESTION! It's a toss up between The Vampire Academies and The Infernal Devices Series. I'm in love with Dimitri and Will, hopelessly.
5. If you were trapped on a deserted island what 5 books would you take with you?
I just had this conversation with someone! To Kill A Mockingbird, Clockwork Angel, How Not to Write a Novel (it's hilarious), The Once and Future King, and Can I please take the whole Vampire Academies Series????!!!!! PLEASE!
Rose from the Vampire Academies because she's strong. She's not the weak-willed "Bella." She thinks and makes decisions for herself (not always the best ones) but she really jumped out at me.
7. If you had to choose a paranormal being to be what would you be? (like a vamp, were, fae, witch, demon etc anything like that)
I would be a vampire. I have loved vampires since the day my mom let me watch Dracula (the one with Wionna Rider) and then it got real serious when Buffy the Vampire Slayer came on TV. I think if I were to meet a vampire, I would be totally OK if they bit me.
8. If you could meet an any author (alive or dead) who would you want to meet? and what would be the first question you would ask them?
Stephen King - "What does your wife think when you come up with stuff?" He's very talented but I heard all of his books come from his dreams... She has to sleep next to him! EEK!9. If you could hit a character in a book for being dumb who would you choose?
Victor Frankenstien. Have you read the book? What an idiot! He was so self-absorbed and allowed his whole family to be killed all because he couldn't come clean with what he did. He was an idiot. He really made me mad!
10. Were you always a reader, if so or not when did you start?
Yes. I always have been. My parents always read with me, though my dad is NOT a reader. It's just been something that I have always enjoyed doing. It relaxes me. And i love when I get so involved in a book that I cannot put it down. I will be at work some days, waiting for the bell to ring so I can pick the book up. It's a great feeling and I love when an author can take me to another place.
Thanks So Much Michelle!! Remember check her out @ Oh! For the LOVE of BOOKS!
