EXCERPT FROM GOODREADS
The unscrupulous new Council chair has charged Jace, Marc and me with trespassing, kidnapping, murder and treason. Yeah, we've been busy. But now it's time to take justice into our own hands. We must avenge my brother's death and carve out the rot at the heart of the Council.
It's not going to be easy, and loss seems unavoidable, but I have promised to protect my Pride, no matter what. With a target on my back and Marc at my side, I'm heading for a final showdown that can—that will—change everything forever. A showdown I'm not sure I'm ready for.
But life never waits until you're ready.
I gave Alpha by Rachel Vincent 3 out of 5 stars.
This was the last book in the shifter series. And it was really good. When I read the first book, Faythe really bothered me. I was not impressed how she handeled situations or they way she treated her loved ones. As book 3 and 4 went she seemed to really mature and I started to like her. Then book 5 about half way through she lost it again. She just made a huge mistake and it really brought her down. She hurt way more people with her selfish actions. So I was hoping book 6 she would be back to where she needed to be. I mean she is going to be Alpha. But no, most of the book you see her ripping the heart from a loved one. And I hated it. She really was just selfish. I don't know, I really ended the series not liking her.
However most all the other characters I loved. I think if we could have had someone else tell the story it would have been so much better. I really connected to so many of them. The books are very action packed. You connect so much to others that when bad things happen to them you will cry. Book 5 and 6 made sure of that. This is one series I would love a spin off. A chance to get into the Pride with someone else telling the story.
