December 31 - 5 Best Titles for 2010 (which I double because 5 was too hard).

Thursday, December 30, 2010

This will be for each month in 2011. Each month will have a specific theme (see below). You can choose any book you want as long as it goes with the Theme. Then we will go to DISCUSSION and tell everyone what book we read and how we liked it and how it had to do with that months theme. Each Month I will post a Discussion for that theme..

At the end of the year the person who participated the most will be our lucky winner. And not... just a homemade bookmark but something awesome. Like an autographed book or a gift certificate to a book store or maybe just a book. Something worth it!!!

Also this will not take place of the book of the month. This is just for fun readers.

If you have any questions post them here. Or if you have books to recommend for the Theme of the Month post them here!! Please only RSVP if you have a real desire to join!!

Here is the theme list!!!

Jan.- New Book (to celebrate a new year. must have came out within the last 6 months)

December 26 - 5 Hopes for YA in 2011

1. Adrian gets a happy ending

2. Less love triangles. I'm sick of one girl getting 2 awesome guys and 1 guy getting hurt in the end. Or girl having 1 good guy and one asshat and not seeing it in each of them.

3. Something new and amazing will be added. Something more then boy saves girl, girl loves boy and stuff like that. No more typical I can call it endings.

4. Even if its a series, having each book stand there own, no more filler books with nothing much happening.

5. Maybe more heroine girls. Less damsle in distress more girl kicks ass and saves the day. Less girl in love with a guy before she knows them and more guy wants girl first.

This was a little hard. Not sure really what was expected..

December 25 - 5 Most Anticipated (2011 titles)

I always feel like I am leaving some good ones out! Which I always am..

Dead Tossed Waves

Friday, December 24, 2010
I really really liked this book. Of coarse by now I hope everyone knows this is not Marys story. This story takes place years and years after Mary's escape I am thinking around 20. It really is hard to say to much without giving away the story. You get some surprise appearances from some in the other book. You also get to see more of the other towns. Of coarse it has sad sad moments. You even get to see why the sisterhood decided to cut there town off from the outside. Like Mary some things about Gabry bothered me. She seemed to live and talk more in her head then out loud. Which made me think how does anyone really know her that well. She starts off in the story scared but I think by the end she finds her strength. If you liked the first then I think you will also enjoy this

December 24 - 5 Great Re-Reads (books you've LOVED so much you went back for more)

Books I've read in 2010, that I have reread or plan to reread. These are so hard. I have way too many to choose from.
